Award Winning First Aid Classes across the UK

As seen on dragon's den

Mum of six, Kate Ball initially started Mini First Aid in 2014 from her kitchen table in Leeds, offering high quality baby & child first aid classes to parents and carers. Demand grew and Kate saw the potential for growth, so she started franchising the business in 2015. In 2021, BBC Dragon’s Den star Sara Davies, also saw the huge potential in Mini First Aid and she came on board as an investor and adviser. Mini First Aid is now a multi-award-winning organisation and has almost 70 franchises nationwide.

Meet The Trainers

Maria Matthews

Hi! My name is Maria and I am the owner of Mini First Aid Nottingham and Derby Ltd. I cover franchises across Nottingham, Derby and Chesterfield. I was first introduced to Mini First Aid when I attended a class myself - I was terrified of choking! Your little ones early years are such a precious time and I want you to enjoy them without fear. That is why I am passionate about helping parents, grandparents and carers gain the knowledge and skills to help keep little ones safe in an emergency situation.

Felicity Haslewood

Hi, I’m Fliss. I have worked in the early years sector for 20 years and first aid has always been something I have had training on and understanding of. As a parent I became aware of how this knowledge was beneficial to me and that not all parents have that. I look forward to passing in my knowledge through Mini First Aid to others.

Louisa Burt

Hello! My name is Louisa and I have 11 years’ experience as a Primary School teacher, specialising in Early Years and Key Stage 1. I recently became a first time mum to my little boy, Archie. His safety is my number one priority, so I am delighted to be able to pass on my first aid knowledge and skills to other parents / carers as a Mini First Aid trainer, and also to continue working with young children in their schools.
