Meet The Trainers

Maria Wilkinson

Hello! My name is Maria and I am the owner of Mini First Aid Nottingham and Derby. I am a Mum of 3 and was first introduced to Mini First Aid when I attended a class with my own child. My biggest fear was choking! And training with Mini First Aid gave me so much confidence. We offer the full suite of First Aid training from classes for parents, to teaching children in schools and beyond, and of course, accredited training for the workplace. Our teaching style is friendly and reassuring and we will always do our best to provide an excellent learning experience.

Craig Salkeld

Hello, my name is Craig. I have almost twenty years experience as a firefighter whilst teaching first aid and fire safety in my own time. I believe that my teaching style and experience allows me to provide people not only with appropriate qualifications but also the practical confidence and capability to respond to either a medical emergency or fire should the worst happen.

Felicity Haslewood

Hi, I’m Fliss. I have worked in the early years sector for 20 years and first aid has always been something I have had training on and understanding of. As a parent I became aware of how this knowledge was beneficial to me and that not all parents have that. I look forward to passing in my knowledge through Mini First Aid to others.

Kirstie Mackintosh

I began my first aid training journey in 2010 with East Midlands Ambulance Service as a non-clinical education specialist, where I also trained as a Community First Responder and supported the Heartstart schools programme. After becoming a parent, I launched Little Legs, a business empowering parents, carers and children to feel calm and confident during childhood years. Little Legs have worked closely with Mini First Aid for the last 5 years and I am delighted to now be training with Mini First Aid alongside running my business. I am passionate about making first aid accessible, practical, and life-changing for everyone I teach.

Louisa Burt

Hello! My name is Louisa and I have 11 years’ experience as a Primary School teacher, specialising in Early Years and Key Stage 1. I recently became a first time mum to my little boy, Archie. His safety is my number one priority, so I am delighted to be able to pass on my first aid knowledge and skills to other parents / carers as a Mini First Aid trainer, and also to continue working with young children in their schools.
